Yellow Chilli restaurant located in Lagos, Nigeria, is one of West Africa’s finest, most exciting and original custodian of ethnic cuisine with passion and attitude. 

The brand operates from two strategic locations in the heart of Lagos. It was founded in 2004 with the need to replace a societal norm that authentic Nigerian food could only be gotten in a shanty. 

Yellow Chilli was in need of a brand refresh to stay ahead of the changes and trends in the hospitality industry and reached out to Bubenwosu.

To have a well defined scope of work and an understanding of the requirements that are best suited  to the client’s needs, Bubenwosu had to conduct a brand audit of both Yellow Chilli’s traditional and digital service touchpoints. This also required one on one surveys with customers and frontline employees.

The findings from our brand audit led us to carry out a few strategic rebranding initiatives. In collaboration with the client, our team delivered a comprehensive brand strategy, new brand identity and a brand guideline.
